Anna Mitchell, MS RD
Hi, I’m Anna! I am a West-Michigan based Registered Dietitian (RD). I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Calvin College and a Masters of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics with a sports nutrition specialization from the University of Utah.
My interest in Sports Nutrition began when I was a college cross country & track athlete at Calvin College (Go Knights!). I knew that how I fueled my body had an impact on my performance. However, there was no sports dietitian on staff to work with me or my teammates (hello D3 school!). I started doing research on my own and realized that this was a field I was passionate about.
After completing graduate school, I started my career as a Sports Dietitian in the athletic department at the University of Utah (Go Utes!), working with athletes from all 17 sports teams. I now live in Michigan, and have my own consulting business working with athletes and active individuals who want to improve performance, increase energy levels, and feel empowered to make healthy, balanced food choices.
In addition to being a dietitian, I am a high school coach. My husband and I have coached high school cross country together for 8 years.
In my spare time, you can find me running, playing with two young boys, traveling, reading, or hiking. And, of course, enjoying good food with family and friends.
